Canada Address Format Guide

Canadian addresses resemble U.S. addresses at a glance, but they use province or territory abbreviations and an alphanumeric postal code. Forms should preserve the space in the postal code and should not apply five-digit U.S. ZIP Code validation.

Standard Canadian address layout

Alex Martin
1204-240 Queen St W
TORONTO ON  M5V 1Z7
CANADA

Canada Post places the addressee first, additional delivery information when required, the civic address, and then municipality, province or territory, and postal code. The postal code is uppercase and separated into two groups of three characters.
